Founder’s Note

My name is Professor Osagie Ekhator, the second son of the late Deacon P.I. Ekhator—a man whose unwavering love for God, education, and mission shaped not only my life, but also the lives of many others. My father laid the foundation for the person I am today. He was a staunch believer in the power of education and the importance of purposeful living.

Throughout his life, he gave sacrificially to ensure his children had the best opportunities. He supported my academic journey every step of the way, even going as far as paying my first PhD fees. It was my deepest desire that he would live to witness the day I would be announced as a professor. But God, in His infinite wisdom, chose otherwise. Just two days after the Thanksgiving service held in honour of his passing, I was elevated to the rank of Professor.

In honour of his life, his values, and his sacrifices, I have established The P.I. Ekhator Foundation. This foundation is birthed to uphold and promote the two things he was most passionate about — purpose and education. It is my heartfelt desire that through this foundation, others will find the kind of support, encouragement, and hope that my father so freely gave.

May this vision bring succour to every beneficiary and ignite a lasting impact across generations.

With deep gratitude,
Prof. Osagie Ekhator
